Mat Pilates Group Class Description

Mat Pilates ATX group classes teach the Pilates mat exercises in a familiar traditional order with contemporary variations for individual bodies. Expect to begin standing for warmup, then work on the floor for most of the class. Seated options are available. We provide props including small exercise balls, looped elastic bands, Pilates Magic Circle and Therabands. You will bring your own Pilates sticky mat, at least 1/2" thick. We do not recommend thin yoga mats for Pilates.

Mat & More: Pumped Up Strength Class Description

Mat Pilates ATX offers a group class called Pumped Up Strength, a standing resistance-training workout using hand weights / dumbbells ranging from 3 pounds to 15 pounds. Expect to stand up for the entire class. Seated options are available. Students bring three of their own weights: one pair and a single, heavier dumbbell. We suggest neoprene or vinyl coated weights for comfort, see link for example.
